Paul Hodgson
Professional profile
I qualified from Cardiff Medical School in 2000. I have an interest in foot/ankle trauma and ankle sports injuries. I manage all aspects of elective foot and ankle surgery, in particular arthroscopic surgery, deformity correction (including bunion and lesser toe correction) and percutaneous achilles tendon repair.
I trained in orthopaedic and trauma surgery in South Wales before receiving fellowship training in Bristol under Mr Ian Winson. In the NHS I work at both the University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough. In March 2013 I was awarded an MD by Cardiff University for research on cartilage pathology and continue to be involved in work on cartilage research in the department of Biosciences.
