Andrew Miller
Professional profile
Mr Andrew Miller is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in Hip and Knee Surgery. He has undertaken the prestigious Bristol Advanced Hip fellowship and was nationally selected as the TIG Major Trauma fellow to work alongside the military in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. He was also honoured to be selected as the OTA Traveling fellow to work in Tampa, USA where he worked alongside leading American trauma surgeons and trained in robotic joint replacement surgery.
Clinical interests
Mr Miller has a particular interest in Hip and Knee replacement procedures that allow patients to be discharged early and recover in their own homes. In addition to being trained in robot assisted joint replacement both here in the UK and in Florida, USA.
As a clinical academic he runs regular research clinics providing novel injectable treatments that can be used to prevent or slow the development of early arthritis using patients own growth factors and anti-inflammatory hormones (PRP). He also provides chondrocyte (cartilage cell) transplant procedures that can regrow areas of cartilage damage.
After receiving his doctorate from the Cardiff University Bio-mechanics and Bio-engineering Institute Mr Miller has published papers on the benefit of partial knee replacements, identified genetic targets

Personal profile
Andrew is a keen sportsman who played at Worcester RFC and represented England at junior levels. He was part of a boat that won the Nottingham national rowing championships and more recently was selected to represent Great Britain in the 2016 European Powerlifting Championships.
